Relay
Jacques Greene’s Fantasy EP from earlier this year was a surprising (but gorgeousdownturn for the Canadian club star. Playing up the ambience and emotion that’s always lurked beneath his swinging kicks and hats, showing off the tenderness at the heart of his music. More of a recalibration over a complete override of the Greene model, Fantasy proved just how malleable his signature sound can be. Now he returns with Relay. Getting bodies moving is probably still Jacques Greene’s greatest strength though, as this extended remix of Fantasy’s ‘Relay’ will surely prove. Backed by an equally propulsive remix from Skee Mask, this new version of ‘Relay’ rides a throbbing beat straight to the dancefloor.
