Having put in the hard yards playing shows around the country, supporting the likes of Erny Belle, Tiny Ruins, Ebony Lamb, and Lawrence Arabia, Ōtautahi singer-songwriter Hannah Everingham is set to claim her own spot at the table with new album Siempre Tiene Flores. Due out mid-March on the excellent new label Leather Jacket Records (Playthings, Sundae Painters), the album's title translates to "always have flowers", and is - according to the reckons of Everingham - a "very warm, almost tropically minded, piece of work". With a natural accent delivery, somehow at once both urgent and mellow, we strongly recommend you make some room at your table for this one. - Flying Out

Bursting onto the Aotearoa scene with the release of her debut album Between Bodies and hit single So Long Underground, Hannah Everingham quickly garnered attention for ‘feeling beamed out of a timeless realm’ (UTR) and her ‘palpable gift for songwriting’ (Lucy Pollock, Flying Nun). Hannah has opened for Tiny Ruins, Erny Belle, Ebony Lamb, Recitals, and Lawrence Arabia, and headlined across the country on her first national tour for single Mercury. On Friday Jan 12th Hannah Everingham shares new single Giving Up The Dog and announces the release of her sophomore album Siempre Tiene Flores, out on Vinyl & CD Friday March 15th from Leather Jacket Records Ōtautahi.Siempre Tiene Flores means to ‘always have flowers’. I think the songs might serve as love-letters to those flowers. We recorded this album one dense winter in Ōtautahi, and somehow it became this very warm, almost tropically minded, piece of work. I remember Doug, who plays percussion + vibraphone on the record, brought a whole lot of his homegrown dried fruit along to the days we spent recording and I ate a lot of the dried plums and pears. I’m thinking maybe I can hear the fruit’s presence on the record, the evolution of the flowers." — Hannah Everingham
