After exploring the innerspaces of spiritual jazz with his Clear Path Ensemble band’s self-titled record, Wellington composer, drummer and producer-DJ Cory Champion fires up the Borrowed CS hovercraft for his new release amber / CADKEY groove, an epic assemblage of vintage rhythm synthesisers, keyboards and sampler science, where long live takes and overdubs take precedence over the quantised machinations of the grid.
