Worotan

CD

"This is not a crossover, more of an exchange," says Oumou of her third album. Translated as 'Ten Cola Nuts' - the price paid for a bride in an arranged marriage - 'Worotan' fuses absorbing wassoulou rhythms with Western influences in the shape of horn arrangements from Pee Wee Ellis (ex-James Brown and Van Morrison) and guitar from Nitin Sawnhey.
