Projections
VTSS, aka Martyna Maja, the Polish producer and DJ has quickly risen to prominence in the world of club music in recent years, delivering some of the most talked about DJ sets and mixes. She’s refused to settle, both creatively and literally, having cut her teeth in Berlin before moving to London in September 2020. This led to her being signed to Ninja Tune’s Technicolor imprint, who is releasing her new EP, Projections.
Projections is, Maja says, a ‘new chapter’ that represents simultaneously a fresh direction and a return to her experimental roots.
She’s moved away from tailoring hard-hitting tracks for the club to making music that people can listen to in any environment, from the daily commute to swigging tins in the park, as well those cathartic moments on hot, sweaty dancefloors.
‘I’m more confident in all the choices and moves I’m making,’ Maja says. ‘Instead of tip-toeing around ideas, moods and solutions, I just go ahead and try everything in full.’
