Now listen, it would take more time and patience than any of us here have got to map out the wild ways in which The Rolling Stones' release schedule differed between their home in the UK and the US market they were blowing up in across 1964 and 1965. The Rolling Stones No. 2 was, as you might expect from its clever title, a follow-up to the band's debut self-titled album, and featured the likes of Solomon Burke's Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, Under the Boardwalk, Susie Q, and other R&B hits of the day, as well as three original Jagger/Richards numbers. December's Children (And Everybody's) was a US release that featured tunes from various UK releases from the Stones, including Get Off My Cloud and As Tears Go By. Both are getting the reissue treatment early next month, and are well worth another listen! - Flying Out

The fifth American studio album, released in December 1965.

The last Stones album in which cover material accounted for 50 percent of the content was compiled from a variety of singles, British LP tracks, outtakes, and a cut from an early 1964 U.K. EP.

The album demonstrates the continuing development of Jagger & Richard’s songwriting with a further two pop classics – the string-laden affecting ballad – As Tears Go By and Get Off My Cloud.
