Alongside Joy Division, The Durutti Column were among the first artists signed to Factory Records. Their 1980 debut, produced by Martin Hannett, highlighted Vini Reilly’s delicate, reverb-laden guitar and early use of synthesizers.
The Return of The Durutti Column marked the beginning of a five-decade career in which The Durutti Column quietly became one of Manchester’s most influential acts. To mark the album’s 45th anniversary, London Records presents new editions, remastered from the original tapes and cut at half-speed for vinyl.
