If you think you know "The Dunedin Sound", you might not be looking back far enough! Otago-born lads the Inbetweens formed in the mid-60s, but it was when the band hit the Auckland pub scene that they garnered a reputation as one of the must-see acts of the era. Most recently heard on the stellar Aotearoa funk/soul Heed the Call compilation with their track Mr Funky, the Inbetweens released their stonking, rock'n'funkin' debut self-titled album way back in 1976, and it's finally getting a reissue. - Flying Out
