Stereolab followed their 1992 debut album, Peng!, with The Groop Played Space Age Bachelor Pad Music, a mini album in 1993. The title strangely seems to give a name to the music Stereolab played. Their influences came from far and wide, but were always cool and occasionally a little bit obscure - Os Mutantes, Esquivel, Neu! Francoise Hardy, Velvet Underground.
