Oort
Like a fine shiraz or fancy cheese, Ōtepoti's Space Bats, Attack! return after a hefty hiatus to reveal new album Oort. Seven tracks long and six years on the back burner, the collection was recorded back in 2016 at the band's former Dunedin hub The Attic, and features production, mixing and mastering from Samdrub Dawa. Whether it's an acronym, onomatopoeia or something else entirely [update: explanation here] , Oort is packed with super emotive, crunchy instrumentals from members Lee Nicolson (Thundercub), Richard Ley-Hamilton (Asta Rangu, Males), Zac (Koizilla) and Josh Nicholls (Koizilla, Asta Rangu, Fazed On A Pony).
