Buzzcock's co-founder Pete Shelley's first two solo albums finally getting some reissue love with both his 1981 debut Homosapien and follow up XL1 get beefed out on double LP with a selection of B-Side and Dub Mixes. While both explore early synth-pop and new wave the adventurous punk spirit of the Buzzcocks remain, with XL1 broadening into splendid avant-garde electronic territory. A crucial look into his early years as a solo artist - Flying Out
