You’ve got to take your hat off to reissue wranglers Numero, whose recent forays into the world of 90s post-rock and shoegaze have unearthed some glorious goodness. Now, the label are offering up a rare shoegaze gem from Ozean, a band whose entire career spanned two shows and three songs. Inspired by the early 90s phenomenon of British bands turning it up loud and keeping it dreamy, this San Jose outfit’s sole cassette release has been remastered and pressed to 12” vinyl for your blissed out enjoyment. - Flying Out
Inspired by the spate of Brits leaning into swirling distortion and punishing volume, San Jose's Ozean played just two shows in their brief existence, dissolving before the Scene That Celebrates Itself ever broke the silicon barrier. The quartet’s 1993 self-titled demo cassette has been remastered and pressed at 45RPM, a timeless document of late adolescent wonder and experimentation.
