Following a year after his seminal ‘Expansions’ album, 1976’s Reflections Of A Golden Dream was the final album that jazz keyboardist Lonnie Liston Smith made for the Flying Dutchman label. Recorded with an expansive backing ensemble dubbed The Cosmic Echoes, it pivots slightly away from the spiritual jazz of his mid-Seventies output in favour of funk, pulling on Sly & The Family Stone as well as Miles Davis and Pharoah Sanders.
