Paul McLaney and his group reached new heights with their album for 2005, 'Like Stray Voltage'. Quite possibly the most adventurous and creative local recording of 2005.
Being one of the finest talents to have emerged from these shores in recent times, Paul is renowned for his live performances, both as a solo artist and as the driving force behind Gramsci.
On 'Like Stray Voltage', he kept the same vibe and textures that were prevalent on the two previous Gramsci releases 'Permanence' and 'Object', but bolstered the sound with an even better production effort, strings, and the sort of chunky guitars that were made for stadiums.
