British shoegaze outfit bdrmm return with a brand new, and rather brilliant, new record. Microtonic finds the Hull-based quartet once again releasing on Mogwai's Rock Action label, which is surely a mark of quality assurance. They've previously dabbled in imbuing their big sound with everything from ambient music to jazz, and the promise here is the palette has broadened further still. Check out single John On The Ceiling for a taster! - Flying Out
"The best thing we've ever done" say Hull noiseniks bdrmm about their new album Microtonic. Bands always say that though... except for The Strokes whose guitarist Nick Valensi described their 2011 album Angles as "awful". No such doubts though from these upstarts who have incorporated a wider sound palette here whilst retaining a sound which fits perfectly into the current shoegaze craze.
