Second album by Auckland's incredible garage punk girl group noise DIY monsters Coolies. Formed in the mid 90s, Coolies' early signature was a sweet and swinging Ramones/Ronettes car-crash, filtered through a burning teenage desire to actually burn things down. After early tapes, 7"s and a track on a Kill Rock Stars compilation, Coolies set off to take on the world, touring NZ, Australia and America and playing with EraseErrata, Ariel Pink, Mika Miko, Weird War, XBXRX, Deerhoof and many more.Recruiting legend drummer Stefan Neville of Pumice in the mid 00s, Coolies found a new/old attitude to underground noise, like a Shangrilas and Crass tea party. Recorded by Stefan, Master is raw, lo-fi, annoying, brilliant, monumental, totally necessary, the end of music, the beginning of the future.
