Tommy Peltier gathers a trove of previously unheard recordings made around Los Angeles between 1970 and 1976. A fixture of the Echo Park hills since the ’60s, Peltier began as a jazz trumpeter before (after being encouraged by friends, Judee Sill among them) reinventing himself as a songwriter. A record deal never materialised, but the songs endured quietly and now, decades later, we get to dive in. - Flying Out

Just east of Hollywood, Tommy Peltier has made sweet music in the Echo Park hills for over sixty years. A jazzman first, he recast himself in 1970 as an LA troubadour, crafting a set of glitter-light pop tunes that somehow missed release ‘til now. Recorded ‘70-’76 all over town & mixed and mastered TODAY by Jim O’Rourke, Echo Park captures the smooth sounds, glamour an’ free spirits to be found just down the street from Tinseltown in its golden day.
