Cardinal is the 2nd album by DIY American singer-songer, Samba Jean-Baptiste, following from his debut Pandora (2022) with a candidly intimate suite that helps to delicately place his work within a field of soulful downbeat modernism.

All good things eventually come to the top, and this 20-part set evidently feels at home on a record, best to consider the timeless freshness of his songs’ sentiments and pastoral, low-key cinematic arrangements within a classic context.
