Dubbed by the label as "the mysterious mail order mystic", Master Wilburn Burchette was known to have placed ads in the back pages of such esteemed publications as Fate Magazine, Beyond Reality, and Gnostica News to advertise his music, which blended home-taught guitar and electronics to concoct a sound Numero describe as "dreamy early music, druid folk, electric fingerstyle, psychedelic balladry, and new age ontology". Having burned his instruments in 1977, and dying in mysterious circumstances last year, it's high time the world soaked in the psychic energy of this "white wizard of tremolo theurgy"! - Flying Out
On 1977’s Mind Storm, the final album made prior to his emphatic retirement, Burchette employed “pink sound,” a phenomenon known in acoustical science to open the mind to thrilling psychic revelations, setting down two side-long pieces forming a reflecting crystal ball for squalls of deep brain imagery.
