Underwater Moonlight (45th Anniversary Remaster) (Limited Blue Vinyl LP)
Robyn Hitchcock's oddball weirdness was bursting at the seams on Underwater Moonlight, The Soft Boys' 1980 swan song. Off-kilter, uncommercial, and endlessly inventive, the album remains a blueprint for the indie explosion that followed. Freshly remastered from the original analogue tapes, and sharpening the jangly bite of glam-hits like I Wanna Destroy You. - Flying Out
Celebrate the 45th anniversary of The Soft Boys classic album Underwater Moonlight with this remastered LP edition pressed on limited edition blue vinyl. This pressing was remastered and cut from the original analog tapes by John Baldwin at Infrasonic Sound in Nashville, TN. Each album comes in deluxe gatefold sleeve packaging and has a 20 page booklet with liner notes from David Fricke and Robyn Hitchcock, as well rare archival photographs and band memorabilia.
Underwater Moonlight has gone on to become a neo-psychedelic masterpiece with musical influences from The Beatles, The Byrds, Syd Barrett, and when it comes to sheer lyrical absurdity, the Bonzo Dog Band.
