Cult label Fat Possum have just announced the two recent EPs - The Great Traitor and Point Nemo - by sweet-singing Edinburgh duo No Windows will be getting a tidy single LP release. Quickly emerging from the underground, now's the time to get a slice of this sweet, harmony drenched pie before everyone wants some. - Flying Out
The Great Traitor, the band’s third EP (second with Fat Possum) - almost a year to the day of Point Nemo’s release. Produced with Ali Chant (Dry Cleaning, Sorry, Youth Lagoon), the recording process took the band out of Morgan’s DIY bedroom set-up and into a studio, where they had access to a breadth of instruments that allowed for more exploration across the EPs six tracks.
‘Return' picks up the closest to where Point Nemo left off. A slow burning mixture of 90s alt rock and pastoral indie. It’s written from the perspective of Verity at 16-years-old – understanding her autism, always feeling awkward and out of place at school. The track makes its way from dark and dissonant to sunny and delicate, like someone weaving through the woods and out into the open - themes well emulated in the official music video directed by CLUMP Collective (Katy J Pearson, Orla Gartland, Divorce).
