Recorded in Dunedin & Arrowtown by four small-town music-lovers the album has now amassed millions of streams and launched the career of one of Aotearoa's largest independent artists. The quartet was founded in 2017 by childhood friends Josh Mehrtens and Josh Reid while flatting together during studies at the University of Otago, and later joined by Tom Kelk and Jack Ferguson, who soon after found themselves touring around the world. They are now based in London, having just released their fourth album 'The//Glow'.

All four of Mild Orange’s albums have been produced and mixed DIY by frontman Josh Mehrtens in bedrooms, beach houses, trains, airports, libraries, and practice rooms throughout the world. Their vinyl records are seldom available long and are a true collectors item worldwide.
