More Small Songs

Masterton based sound artist (and fishing lure maker!) Antony Milton has been releasing music since the early 90s, and is also the curator of prolific underground label PseudoArcana. The aural snapshots contained within 2021's More Small Songs are minimalist pieces which began life on classical guitar, before being augmented with voice, samples, and extra bells and whistles. Now reissued on vinyl, this is a perfect place to start your voyage of discovery into Milton's considerable discography. - Flying Out

Born out of the warm thrum of an old classical guitar the first of these tracks emerged as a surprise one rainy morning to be followed by another, and then another. In a sense they are like sketches, less throwaway than snapshots yet more honest than fussier audio can often be.
