Tipsy blues-riffs, mumbled capricious melodies and rusty bedroom production. He conjures images of frostbitten ghost-towns nestled in the Midwest. This crest-fallen blue-collar man is not heroic, but amongst the crumbling industrial landscape we are reminded of the majestic charm of imperfection. The scratches and cracks have their own story. Vile recorded the tracks on God Is Saying This To You… between 2003 and 2008 on a CD-R, a collection of his “best stuff”, a mixtape of sorts.
