Felt's second studio album, remastered by Kevin Metcalfe and Lawrence in the 2022 edition, was deemed another success by both critics and the public. In this album, Lawrence escapes the confines of a mundane city and delves into his own mind.

Felt had emerged from the shadows, seeking a new horizon, only to find themselves slipping into a desolate obscurity. The dark, black slabs of creosote guitar, along with vast swathes of epic interplay, cast futuristic shadows over their music.

An idiosyncratic and unobtrusively brilliant band, the music created by Felt on this album is unlike anything that had been attempted before. It serves as a template for the age that is yet to come.
