This excellent sextet session by the great trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie (1917-93) was recorded for Verve in New York City on December 19, 1957 with Sonny Rollins (tenor sax); Sonny Stitt (tenor sax); Ray Bryant (piano); Tommy Bryant (bass) and Charli Persip (drums). Gillespie has a vocal on On The Sunny Side Of The Street. The four memorable tracks feature three standards and a Stitt original. Highlights include the 14-minute The Eternal Triangle and the standard I Know That You Know.
