Constantine ‘Dino’ Karlis (High Dependency Unit, ex-Sonic Boom/Spectrum, Brian Jonestown Massacre) teams up with Jason Kerr (ex-Southkill) and Richard Hahnloser to create a striking new body of work, and no-one is singing. Karlis and Kerr bring their trademark drone and noise, while Hahnloser’s melodic improvisations take the focal point. The result is five tracks that touch on decades of influences, the type that can only be created by those around for just as long. - Flying Out

Constantine 'Dino' Karlis (drums, High Dependency Unit, ex-Sonic Boom/Spectrum, Brian Jonestown Massacre,) enlisted Jason Kerr (bass/guitar, ex-Southkill) and Richard Hahnloser (piano/synth) to create a striking new body of work. Dean Roberts (White Winged Moth, Autistic Daughters, Thela) stepped in on guitar when needed, and no-one sang.

Karlis, Kerr, and Roberts brought their signature drone and noise, but dialed it back, layering in depth and a churning groove. Hahnloser’s melodic and textural improvisations provide the focus, placing the music in an interstitial space: somewhere between the complex simplicity of The Necks, Porter Ricks’ woozy throb, Can fronted by a disoriented Keith Jarrett, Joy Division in a tropical rainforest, FSOL’s isolationism, and Earth’s endless chordscapes.
