The music on this compilation draws from Murray McNabb's home recordings from 2000-2008.
The E-Music project was another opportunity for the influential New Zealand bandleader, jazz pianist, arranger, and film/television composer to meld his "pop" sensibilities with his more avant garde ideas. It was a vehicle for electronic experimentation and the kinds of things McNabb had hinted at on recordings by Band-r, the Murray McNabb Group, Gianmarco Liguori and Salon Kingsadore.
At the time Murray floated ideas of making an album with some of this material, but despite the urging of Koula Coulouris (his wife and collaborator), he was soon on to the next thing and shelved the project.
