Skinaffect are the current San Francisco band of Andrew Boak (No Tag, Punk It Up), and Green Recordings is his boutique label he has in the USA.
The band is slightly different in their sound to No Tag, more noisy-rock-punkstyle stuff, but still with a cutting edge style, Andrew plays guitar and sings one of the songs on the record, with 3 other musos who were raised in the Bay Area music scene.
Rising from the ashes of many self-immolating San Francisco Bay Area bands, this fourpiece creates sonic landscapes that meet percussive grooves, in a melting pot of beautiful noise.
Released as a limited edition, four song, coloured vinyl 10”, this record is a must for connoisseurs of driving, perfectly noisy, but otherworldly melodic music, in a world so full of dross, cookie-cutter, and bland music, that even the use of the word “music” is questionable.
Recorded one week before the beginning of the Great Pandemic of 2020, and painstakingly produced remotely through the use of the interwebs and various software, this meticulous exercise has finally come to fruition, of which, the band themselves (and the label of course), are elated, and thankful, that this limited edition E.P. is ready to see the light of day
