Pōneke's French For Rabbits have been producing some of the most immaculate sounds we've heard since the release of their debut 2012 EP Claimed By The Sea. Now, with the release of new EP In The End I Won't Be Coming Home, and the announcement that founding member John Fitzgerald will be leaving the band, this two-EP collection is perhaps the most poignant way the band could have marked such a turning point in their colourful career. - Flying Out
Te Whanganui-a-Tara's ‘dream pop’ luminaries French For Rabbits mark just over a decade of releases with their new EP, In the End I Won’t Be Coming Home, available on compact disc and limited edition vinyl backed with their debut EP, Claimed by the Sea. Both were recorded at The Surgery in Wellington with Lee Prebble, neatly bookending songwriter Brooke Singer and guitarist John Fitzgerald's remarkable journey with FFR so far. On the EP French For Rabbits are joined by classic ensemble The Black Quartet who weave their way around the band. The string arrangements and immaculate instrumentation deftly evoking dramatic landscapes and vast emotions.
