Core (Reissue) (Limited Recycled Vinyl LP)

Limited Recycled Vinyl LP
Two of the biggest and most enduring albums to emerge from the grunge era, Stone Temple Pilots' immensely successful first two albums Core and Purple are getting the reissue treatment. Released in 1992 and 1994 respectively, the albums were often heavier and darker than the releases of their peers, while also being somehow more polished, melodic, and emotive. It only takes the first few seconds of tunes like Interstate Love Song, Plush, Vasoline, Sex Type Thing, and Creep to evoke a time and a place, now immortalised on limited edition recycled colour vinyl. R.I.P. Scott Weiland, long live Scott Weiland! - Flying Out

With their debut album, the socially-charged Core, San Diego's Stone Temple Pilots deliver a hard-hitting grunge record that delves into dark lyrical territory, driven home by Scott Weiland's powerful vocals.

With hit singles Plush and Sex Type Thing going on to become definitive songs of the 1990s, the band garnered a great deal of media attention - at times incredibly negative - for their whirlwind success. Rolling Stone readers named the group the Best New Band of 1992, whereas its staff christened them the Worst New Band. Despite their polarizing reception, the Pilots would secure a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance for Plush.

This special edition is pressed on recycled colour vinyl that reuses material and clippings from previous pressings. The result is that each vinyl is unique with its own colour combination.
