The brilliantly brutal sequel to dynamic duo Ripship's Fearsome Engine, Crawling Chorus has just been announced for release on 1:12 Records. Hot on the heels of their hand-picked support spot for Jack White, the album showcases Rae McLean's brutal and brilliant drumming alongside Callum Lincoln's glorious guitar and synth riffs aplenty. Both take on vocal duties, delivering urgent messages for the techno-apocalypse. You've been warned. - Flying Out
Wellington psych rock duo Ripship are back with their second full-length album, Crawling Chorus, released via 1:12 Records on vinyl, so you can contemplate the techno-apocalypse in high fidelity. A journey through space and time, the album makes no compromises – lush synthetic soundscapes ebb and flow over polyrhythmic drum grooves and crushing guitars. Recorded and mixed by Pōneke legend James Goldsmith, each of the nine songs finds its own identity as Callum Lincoln (guitar, synth, vocals) and Rae McLean (drums, vocals) refuse to be pinned to a single sound. Crawling Chorus is an album about everything that ever was, and everything that will ever be.
