Hot Cuts is the debut album from Tāmaki Makaurau's three piece Smokin' Daggers through Auckland label 1:12 Records — cramming together ten renditions of garage punk classics plus one soul powered original. Fronted by the local godfather of growl and mangled guitar twang Andrew Tolley (Bloodbags, Bloody Souls, The Hasselhoff Experiment). Recorded to tape by James Dansey over a single afternoon in the basement of a run-down Kingsland villa Hot Cuts delivers the goods.
