Compiled from long lost master tapes, this is Larry’s Rebels sounding better than ever Larry’s Rebels were one of New Zealand’s top bands from the Sixties; hard working and electrifying live.They were adept at all genres of Sixties music from bluesy rave ups to poppy soft psych and everything between. The group had seven hits during a 22 month period between 1967- 69, it took Split Enz 5 years and The Exponents 10 years to accomplish the same feat. Their cover versions nipped at the heels of the originals and their own songs remain part of New Zealand’s pop culture.
