Finalists for the 2025 Best Independent Debut Award, Tāmaki Makaurau duo 花溪 Flowerstream (Huiming Wu and Maxwell Brown) release the vinyl edition of Low-Key. Building on the sonic dreamscapes of their debut Flowers Dream, the pair blend Huiming’s home-engineered electric guzheng with Maxwell’s talents to craft a unique fusion of ancient and modern sounds. Their music drifts effortlessly between ambient, dream-pop, and psychedelia, with moments of fevered, intense 'guzheng-doom' energy. Recorded in their home studio Hokima Dihar, Low-Key showcases their exploration of guzheng textures, all wrapped in soft ethereal vocals sung in both Mandarin and English. - Flying Out
