Lamental follows Tom Jenkinson's first album in five years, Be Up A Hello, released in January. The vinyl version of the EP features four new tracks, while the digital release adds "Les Mains Dansent".
"MIDI Sans Frontières" was composed as a response to the 2016 Brexit referendum, and Jenkinson opened up the various musical components of the track as an "internationalist collaboration with sound makers, irrespective of what kind of music they make, where they live, their background or their age."
