Recorded at Roundhead Studios with producer Navakatoa Tekela‑Pule (Noa Records), refined with James Milne (Lawrence Arabia), and brought to life by an all‑star ensemble, including Dave Khan, Tiare Kelly, Stenn Frances‑Deare, Hamish Milne, De Stevens, Finn Scholes, and a string quartet led by Sandy Niu and Olivia Wilding, the album stretches tender strings across velvety vocals, marking a debut long awaited from the name of the tip of everyone tongues. - Flying Out
Recorded live at Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studios with a seven-piece band and string quartet, Descending Dreams captures HINA’s genre-fluid sound across indie rock, alt-country, and cinematic pop.
Written and refined over a year, the album traces intimate journeys through love, loss, and self-discovery. Lead single Coucou! reached #13 on the Official Aotearoa Music Charts, setting the tone for a record that is both tender and ambitious, balancing emotional bravery with timeless songwriting. HINA will be touring in the Aotearoa spring, with more details to be shared later in the year.
