Having been teased for some months now, the epic melding of "organic ambient textures with emotionally charged post-rock soundscapes" from celebrated composers Rhian Sheehan and Arli Liberman is finally officially announced. Loop are proud to present Traces, the first collaborative album from two of Aotearoa's most celebrated composers, Rhian Sheehan and Arli Liberman. Rhian Sheehan has established himself as a multi-award-winning musician and screen composer over the past two decades and Arli Liberman has fast become one of NZ’s most in-demand composers and musicians. The album is an instrumental journey, blending electronic, ambient and post-rock soundscapes to create a unique sound. Combining the atmospheric, Middle Eastern-influenced guitar playing and production skills of Arli Liberman with Rhian Sheehan’s haunting use of modular soundscapes and studio instruments. Traces transports listeners into a dreamscape that feels both futuristic and nostalgic, distant and familiar — like a forgotten past or an undiscovered future — creating an immersive, yet intimate cinematic experience that unfolds like the soundtrack to an unmade film.
