Swallow the Rat are a restless bunch. If they are going to release something, there always has to be a new angle, a new approach.
For this one they have gone a little overboard, like some kids overdosing on brightly coloured lollies.

Side A: Other Rooms is a garage-psych barnstormer with half remembered images from a scorched landscape. Miyoshi obliterates the second half of the tune with an intense verse taking the subject matter in a whole new direction; telling the story of someone trapped in a room, trying to escape but finding the next room is perhaps worse...
Side B: Realised is a major departure for Swallow the Rat, and a taste of their new found creative freedom. A looped out, freeform improvised soundscape, carved up and reassembled by Ackermann, recalling the Butthole Surfers or early Mercury Rev. Maybe its what Miyoshi finds in that next room?
