The Others Way unveil two final curated stages to the streets of K’Rd, with the arrival of The Las Vegas Rap Club and The Whammy/Wine Catacombs.
The Las Vegas Rap Club takes place in the exotic red velvet 1930’s opium den-vibe of the Las Vegas Club, a famous and infamous former Krd strip club location. Here at ‘the club’ it is going to be all rhymes, beats and hip hop grooves, as it transforms itself into the Las Vegas Rap Club.
Specially curated by the fine ears of Max Oldfield - music manager, impresario and former bFM Breakfast host - this stage is going to be popping from start to finish. The selection of Aotearoa’s finest hip hop, rap and beats, include Badcrop, MeloDownz, Louie Knuxx, Eno X Dirty and Spycc & INF. Here at the Las Vegas Rap Club you can jump around up front, or cut some big dollar deals in the luxury booths down the back.
Those of a more indie rock persuasion can descend into the Catacombs of the Whammy Bar Front Room, the Back Room and The Wine Cellar. Who knows what you might find in this subterranean warren of dive bar indie rock subculture? Although, it might take you days to find your way back out. One thing for sure is you will hear some good music, including Kane Strang, Salad Boys, Grayson Gilmour, Scott & Charlene’s Wedding, Emily Edrosa and many more acts to be announced with our timetable. If you voyage deepest into the Whammy Back Room you will be treated to a dark and quiet space, and experience the soothing or unsettling sounds of Steve Abel, Shab Orchestra and i.e crazy. Who knows, you might even meet a crazy dog, as pictured below.
With the timetable to be announced shortly, all will soon be revealed.
