Auckland band Bespin have a new video for the track Waking Dream, taken from their Osiris EP released last month.
Although quite a new band, Bespin haven't wasted any time. They recently won the New Zealand Critics Choice Music Prize, opened for Tame Impala in Auckland/Wellington, played St Jerome's Laneway Festival, The Others Way and have quickly developed a reputation as one of the best live bands in New Zealand.
The Waking Dream video features timelapse photography of much maligned landmark 60s/70s brutalist/modernist architecture - filmed in New York, Toronto, London and Prague. Brutalism became favoured for many government projects and high-rise housing to create an architectural image (often in concrete) that communicated strength, functionality, and frank expression of materiality. The video was shot and directed by Ben Howe and TRIP-o-VISION was added by THE EMPRESS
Bespin are also on tour and playing the following shows
