The top 10 finalists for the 2015 Taite Music Prize have been announced. This year’s ten finalists, from a lengthy list of 65 nominations submitted by record labels both independent and major from across the country, are:

Mulholland – ‘Stop & Start Again’ (Mulholland)
Tami Neilson – ‘Dynamite’ (Neilson Records)

Named after one of New Zealand's most highly-respected music journalists, Dylan Taite, the prize is in its sixth year running this year and recognises outstanding creativity for an entire collection of music contained on one album.
The overall award winner will be announced on Wednesday the 15th of April at Galatos Live in Auckland’s central city. The winner will receive $10,000, recording time at Red Bull Studios and a years supply of Red Bull products.
